Our StoryFounded in 2020, Halt is a specialist recruitment marketing agency on a mission to make recruitment brands impossible to ignore. We blend creativity, strategic thinking and decades of recruitment industry experience to help our clients attract candidates, win clients and build brands that leave a lasting impression.
We started in a spare bedroom during the pandemic, armed with big ambitions and slightly less desk space than we’d have liked. Fast forward a few years and we’ve grown into one of the recruitment industry’s most respected marketing agencies, supporting more than 300 recruitment agencies, talent businesses and in-house talent acquisition teams across the UK, US, UAE and Australia.
Turns out, starting in a spare room wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

- June 2020
An opportunity born in the face of adversity
With the world facing the challenges of the pandemic, we hatched an ambitious plan to create a marketing and creative agency dedicated to supporting recruitment agencies.
- October 2020
Halt officially launches from a spare bedroom
Three months ahead of schedule, Halt launches and receives an overwhelming response from recruitment agencies and end employers looking for specialist marketing support.
- January 2021
Website solution launched
To meet growing demand from recruitment agencies looking to move away from SaaS-based website platforms, we hire our first web developer and begin delivering bespoke recruitment websites.
- June 2021
Scaling our team and moving into our first office
As our client base grows, so does our team, with five new Halteregos joining the business. We quickly outgrow our first office and move into a larger creative studio in Hengrove, Bristol.
- January 2022
International expansion
Our client base continues to grow beyond the UK, with recruitment businesses across Houston, USA and Dubai, UAE trusting Halt to support their brands and marketing.
- June 2022
Team grows to 15
Our specialist branding, creative, website and outsourced marketing teams continue to expand as demand for our services reaches new heights.
- October 2022
100th client invoiced
We celebrate our anniversary and also invoicing our 100th client, a significant milestone that reflects the trust placed in Halt by recruitment businesses across the UK and internationally.

A new home at Long Ashton Business Park
Following another period of sustained growth, we relocate to our new headquarters at Long Ashton Business Park, giving our expanding team the space to collaborate, create and continue growing.
- June 2023
SEO solution launched
As search becomes increasingly important for recruitment businesses, we launch our specialist SEO service, helping clients improve visibility, generate qualified traffic and attract more candidates and clients through organic search.
- January 2024
50+ recruitment websites launched
Our website division reaches another major milestone, with more than 50 bespoke recruitment websites delivered for agencies across the UK and overseas.
- June 2024
25 recruitment start-up launched
From ambitious solo founders to established leadership teams, we've now helped launch more than 25 recruitment businesses with branding, websites and go-to-market marketing strategies.
