Tripod Partners

Tripod Partners are one of the UK’s leading health and social care recruitment agencies, placing social workers, nurses, allied health professionals and biomedical specialists across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Halt was engaged to refresh the brand and build a website capable of carrying all of it.

The Brief

Tripod cover a remarkable amount of ground. Social work alone runs from child protection and safeguarding through to adoption, mental health and older persons services. Allied healthcare takes in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology, pharmacy and radiography. Then there is nursing, from midwifery and theatre through to ICU, primary care and prison healthcare, plus biomedical and diagnostic roles on top. All of it, across four nations.

That breadth is Tripod’s great strength, and it is also the central design challenge. A paediatric occupational therapist in Cardiff and a safeguarding social worker in Glasgow are looking for entirely different things, and both need to find them quickly. Get the organisation wrong and a site this large becomes a maze.

The brand needed refreshing alongside it, bringing the identity up to the standard of a business that leads its market, and giving it the warmth that suits people who work in care.

So the brief was brand and website together, with the structure of the site as the piece that mattered most.

Our Actions

The brand refresh came first. Health and social care is a sector where trust is everything, so the identity needed to feel professional and rigorous while staying human. These are candidates who spend their working lives looking after people, and a cold, corporate brand would have struck the wrong note entirely.

Then the website, where the real work was in the architecture. Every specialism needed its own route in, organised the way candidates actually think about their careers, so a nurse can find ICU roles and a therapist can find speech and language work without wading through anything irrelevant. Locations needed the same treatment across all four nations. Permanent, temporary and locum hiring each needed explaining, along with the recruitment process outsourcing, managed service and specialist assessment offers on the client side.

The candidate resources were given proper space too, covering CV advice, interview guidance and career support, because a recruiter that helps people before they apply earns their trust.

Our Results

Tripod came away with a refreshed brand that matches their position in the market, and a website that makes a very complex business feel simple to navigate.

That navigability is the win here. When a candidate can find the right specialism in the right part of the country within a couple of clicks, more of them apply, and every recruiter in the business benefits. The same is true on the client side, where a commissioner can understand what Tripod offer without having to ask.

The refreshed identity gives the team something to be proud of in front of NHS trusts, local authorities and private providers alike, and it carries the human warmth that a health and social care brand needs.

For an agency leading a demanding, highly regulated market, having a brand and a site that work as hard as the team does makes a real difference.
