Zenovo have been placing embedded and electronics engineers since 2009. Halt refreshed the brand, built the website, and now looks after their SEO and marketing.

Zenovo are embedded systems and electronics recruitment specialists, working from Manchester, Stockholm and Boston since 2009. Managing Director Alex Tatum engaged Halt to refresh the brand identity and build a new website. Halt now provides ongoing SEO and marketing support alongside it.
Zenovo have been at this a long time. Since 2009 they have been placing the engineers behind electronics, embedded systems and software, covering PCB layout, EMC certification, firmware, IoT, wireless connectivity, edge security and a good deal more, for start-ups, SMEs and large corporations alike.
Alex Tatum came to Halt with a business that had earned its reputation and a brand that needed to catch up with it. Zenovo work in a technical, precise industry where credibility is judged quickly, and they operate across three countries, so the identity had to feel current and authoritative in the UK, Sweden and the US at the same time.
The website needed to do a lot too. Three areas of expertise, three engagement models across permanent, contract and statement-of-work delivery, client information by region, a resource hub and a candidate journey all had to sit together clearly.
And Zenovo wanted to be found. Being visible in the searches their audience actually uses was part of the ambition from the start.
Chris Cranshaw, Matthew Ley and Gavin Cranshaw delivered the brand and the website between them.
The refresh evolved Zenovo’s identity into something sharper and more confident, built around the values the business leads with: energy, credibility and integrity. Working in embedded systems and electronics, the brand needed a precision that engineers would respect, with enough warmth to reflect a team their clients describe as trustworthy and easy to deal with.
The website was structured around how Zenovo’s audiences actually arrive. The three expertise areas each got their own space, so an EMC specialist and a mobile app developer both land somewhere relevant. The engagement models are explained properly, since a statement-of-work project and a permanent hire are very different conversations. Client information is organised by region across the three markets, and the resource hub gives Zenovo somewhere to publish.
The result is a site that reflects a business with fifteen years of specialist experience behind it.
Launching a site is the start of the job. Being found is the rest of it.
Emily Bode looks after Zenovo’s SEO on an ongoing basis. Embedded and electronics recruitment is a specialist field, which is an advantage in search: the terms are precise, the audience is small and highly qualified, and a firmware engineer searching for a specific role is worth a great deal more than general traffic. The expertise areas built into the site give it a solid structure to compete on those terms, and the resource hub keeps fresh content flowing.
Alongside the SEO sits the wider marketing resource, giving Alex and the team design and marketing support as the business needs it, without carrying that capability internally.
Because both are ongoing, the site keeps improving as Zenovo grows across their three markets.
