Bio

Issy is a Social Media Specialist at Halt, bringing our clients’ brands to life across social platforms. With a background spanning HR and marketing, she brings a well-rounded perspective to her role, blending an understanding of people with a strong sense of strategy and creativity.

Issy studied International Relations at the University of Sussex, which gave her a solid grounding in research, communication and seeing the bigger picture — skills she now applies to building thoughtful, engaging content for Halt’s clients. She enjoys getting stuck into the details of a brand’s voice and finding creative ways to connect with audiences online.

Outside of her work at Halt, Issy is also involved in other creative projects, bringing a broad range of experience to everything she does.

Experience

Before joining Halt, Issy studied International Relations at the University of Sussex, developing strong analytical and communication skills along the way.

After graduating in 2023, she began her career as a Client Relationship Consultant before moving into HR, where her detail-oriented approach served her well. It was through this HR role that she was first introduced to marketing and, recognising a genuine interest in the creative and strategic side of the work, she made the decision to move into marketing full-time.

This path — from client relations, through HR, into marketing — has given Issy a well-rounded skill set, blending precision and people-focused insight with creativity, which she now brings to her role at Halt.

Outside work

Outside of work, Issy is a self-confessed bookworm who’s rarely without a book on the go. She loves getting outdoors for a good walk, has a real passion for travelling, and is a big fan of festivals whenever she gets the chance.
