Manager | Branding & Creative
As Brand and Creative Manager, Matthew leads all the creative projects at Halt, helping recruitment businesses build stronger, more recognisable brands and websites that connect with their audiences.
From the initial brief through to execution and delivery, Matthew oversees the full creative process, turning ideas into engaging visual solutions across both digital and print. His role covers everything from website and graphic design to social media, content creation and wider marketing outputs. Whether creating intuitive website wireframe journeys, developing eye-catching visuals or crafting social content, he combines creativity with a strong understanding of what makes brands stand out and deliver results.
Alongside his client work, Matthew supports and mentors a team of junior creatives, sharing knowledge, providing feedback and helping the team grow while staying hands-on with key projects.
And if that wasn’t enough, he also leads one of Halt’s biggest, longest-standing social media clients, ensuring this globally known sporting brand’s social content reaches audiences of millions worldwide while smashing engagement records month after month.
Before joining Halt, Matthew studied Graphic Design at the University of Portsmouth, graduating with a First-Class Honours degree and receiving three design awards, including the Adobe Associate Specialist Award. His final major project also earned him membership of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD), of which he remains a member today.
Following university, Matthew began his career as a Designer at Emirates, creating high-quality travel brochures, holiday campaigns and print advertising for international publications including The Telegraph, The Times and the Daily Mail. Working across a wide range of marketing materials, he developed creative assets that inspired travellers and showcased destinations to audiences across global markets.
Matthew has also worked within the social media and digital marketing space, producing creative, on-brand content for a luxury confectionery company to increase brand awareness and strengthen engagement with target audiences. Alongside developing social content, he led the creative direction of product photoshoots, capturing both hero imagery and behind-the-scenes content to support compelling brand storytelling across digital channels.
Outside of his love for art and design, you will most likely find him discovering hidden food gems, front row at a concert, somewhere new on the map, or convincing himself that signing up for another running event was a good idea.
